clp 320 fix
It seems to be an imprint from previously-printed pages. I think the belt in there is getting dirty and I tried cleaning everything I could as well as replacing the black toner cartridge but nothing seems to do it. What's the most likely issue?
All laser printers can encounter this problem as the fusing roller (heater) is not working. As the fine toner dust is not heated to bind to the paper. You'll need to check to see if the fuser is powered or if it's burnt out.

If it's dirty, press on the sheared gear (white plastic) on the right side of the drum, careful not to touch the surface of the drum, and wipe the drum with lint-free cloth. Repeat the process to all sides after turning the gear towards to you.

The script ran without any errors. The printer is also shown in kubuntu's printer settings. In kubuntu's printer settings, I can see, that the printer is found: it shows the printers consumables correctly, e.g. that the cyan color is low as is also shown in the printers web-interface...
I have also tried to delete the printer in kubuntu printer settings and added it in the browser with the cups admin page: :631/admin(which I read about somewhere else in the internet)==> no difference
Interestingly the same driver works nicely on my other laptop, a 64-bit-machine (Acer aspire es1-731g-p1mc), same operating system and doing the same steps described above... Additionaly, I installed a virtualbox with windows7 as a guest system on the same samsung laptop (which prints the white page) and installed the printer drivers there... printing nicely...
Interestingly, the printer really is a CLP-320 printer and there is a CLP-320 driver (the driver in the screenshot 'Samsung CLP 320 Series (en)' which does not work).Anyway, it seems, that printing only works with CLP-325 driver on the ubuntu 32-bit operating system.
I recently pulled out an older Samsung laser printer from storage, model CLP-315. It seems to work fine for the most part, except on every single page, it leaves a horizontal toner smudge. It even happens on the printer test page, or if I print blank sheets of paper from the computer.
I've tried printing lots of blank pages to see if the smudge will decrease over time, but it does not seem to be fading at all. It does sometimes show up at a different vertical position on the page. I tried replacing the color toners and this did not change anything. I also wiped out the inside of the printer after taking out the toner cartidges, imager and waste container, but no improvement.
Clean the belt and the drum with alcohol. Most likely the problem is with the drum unit. You should also clean the glass that covers the laser. You need to remove the top cover, color cartridges , drum and belt. Start by removing the toner cartridges and drum. Then remove the top cover by removing the 2 screws inside the access door and on the inside top of the unit. Then unplug the transfer belt connector on the top. And then remove the belt. Remember how h transfer belt goes out because getting it back can be a little tricky.
